Weil am Rhein, April 2011. Conductix-Wampfler, world-leading manufacturer of energy and data transmission systems to moving machinery, will present its range of services in the area of intralogistics at this year's CeMAT 2011 from May 2 to May 6, 2011 in Hannover, at booth C42 in Hall 12.

Wide variety of solutions for factory and logistics automation

The focus will be on solutions for power and data transmission for electrified monorail systems, transfer cars, skillet systems, and automated guided vehicles, as well as for shuttles, SRUs, sorter, and cranes of all kinds. Visitors to the booth will also find out everything about IPT® (Inductive Power Transfer). This wireless, inductive power and data transmission technology from Conductix-Wampfler is currently being tested in a research project supported by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment and Nature Conservation together with Daimler for use in electrical vehicles, and recently won the Frost & Sullivan "New Product Innovation Award". IPT® has long demonstrated its flexible application in factory automation.

Shuttle systems are the trend in compact warehouses
In the area of warehouse technology, one focus is the trend in compact warehouses towards shuttle systems. Conductix-Wampfler will show intelligent solutions for energy supply and data transmission. Shuttle systems are flexible and scalable, and can be expanded at any time. The low weight of the individual shuttles and the capability of recovering energy permit optimum performance and low power consumption at the same time. With their solutions for power supply to these modern shuttle systems, Conductix-Wampfler is providing significant support for the requirements in automatic small parts warehouses for faster, more energy-efficient handling of small loads.

Energy efficiency central point in crane construction and crane retooling
For crane builders and crane retooling, Conductix-Wampfler presents the standardized product portfolio for EOT cranes as well as capability for planning and project work in customer-specific modifications for process and container cranes. The operators of container stacking cranes will also see how they can reduce fuel costs and CO2 emissions in their rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTGs) by converting them to electrical operation.

"We want to excite visitors with innovative customer solutions and show them that our extensive product and service spectrum has exactly the right solution for any of their needs in energy and data transmission in intralogistics," says Michael Eckle, Director Global Marketing. Due to their international presence, many years of project experience, their market and application orientation, and their broad assortment of products, Conductix-Wampfler is capable of acting not only as a component supplier but also as a competent system provider for intralogistics solutions.
